In 1946, Elvis' mother, Gladys, brought him here to buy a bicycle. He saw a 22-caliber rifle and he asked his mother to buy it. She wasn't happy about purchasing him a gun so they compromised on a guitar. Forest Bob sold the guitar to Elvis for $7.90.
