19th Century view of the Corinthian column with a Phoenix rising from the ashes at its pinnacle. Constructed and made in 1662, it was erected by Lord Chesterfield in 1747. The Phoenix Pillar or monument is now a focal point of a large roundabout on the beautiful tree-lined Chesterfield Avenue in Phoenix Park,Dublin City, Ireland.
