The King’s Army Annual March takes place, performed by members of The English Civil War Society, and follows the route taken by King Charles I from St James Palace along the Mall to the place of his beheading at Banqueting House in Whitehall on 30 January 1649 where a wreath is laid at his execution site in commemoration.
