A good drawing to illustrate someone resting (or hiding?) before choosing which path to take. A young man, barefoot, sits on the ground next to an old wooden signpost at a crossroads where four dirt roads meet. He sits in a patch of grass, wild flowers and rocks. In the distance a man walks home carrying a scythe. In the sky we see crows flying, and clouds. This vintage print originally illustrated a German poem entitled Late Homecoming, by Ernst Scherenberg.
