A heavy German money box, circa 1500 Cylindrical, turned oakwood case with intersecting iron straps. Hinged lid with slot, fastening chain and hasp. Riveted double lock on the side, with two keys. Red lead coat of later date, height 22 cm. The double lock with two keys suggests that this box was used as a guild box or for administrative purposes, as it could only be opened in the presence of two persons with corresponding keys. A very similar box with a double lock is depicted in Michael Trömner, Behältnisse für Kostbares 1500 - 1700, Abensberg 2006, pp. 30 f. ,
