A Hellenistic Pilos type helmet, , 4th century B.C. Bronze. Very well preserved skull distinctly offset from the broad rim by a pronounced rib. A perforation and remnants of rivets at the crown for the crest holder. Pairs of holes on the sides for the chinstrap. Height 23 cm, weight 720 g. Redbrown to green patina. Metal well preserved.
