Palangan (Persian: پلنگان, also Romanized as Palangān; also known as Patagān, Patakān, and Tangān) is a village in Zhavehrud Rural District, in the Central District of Kamyaran County, Kordestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 821, in 194 families. In Palangan the roof of one house serves as the courtyard of the upper house. Close to this village we can see ruins of an ancient fort dating back to B.C.
