Alameda County Sheriffs Department Sgt. Scott Dudek hugs Kim Petersen, executive director of the Sund-Carrington Foundation, during a press conference on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, in Dublin, Calif., during which the identity of Castro Valley's Jane Doe was announced. The foundation gave Dudek checks for people who helped identify Castro Valley's Jane Doe, who is 16-year-old Yesenia Nungaray Becerra of Yahualica, Mexico. Representatives of the Alameda County Sheriffs Department traveled to Yahualica earlier this month seeking the identity of a young girl whose body was found behind a Castro Valley Carrow's restaurant on May 1, 2003. A suspect is yet to be captured. (Cindi Christie/Contra Costa Times)
