The recently restored Auchinbaird Windmill is an early 18th rubble-built circular tower with domed roof and castellated parapet. This structure was originally built to harness the wind to power a water pump which in turn drained a nearby coal pit. When the pit closed the windmill was converted to a doocot or dovecote. It sits on a knoll between the villages of Sauchie and Fishcross, Clackmannanshire.
