Australia Day in the City is the major public event to celebrate Australia Day in South Australia in Elder Park on 26 January! Since becoming a twilight event in 2010, the crowds have continued to grow with 40, 000+ attendees enjoying the street parade, concert and fireworks each year! Stay tuned to find out who the performer for Australia Day in the City 2016 will be! The Australia Day Parade commences at 6pm from Franklin St with the Military March and Band officially kicking off the celebrations in Adelaide. Over 3, 000 people will march North in the Parade along King William Street, joining in on the festivities at Elder Park where a huge Australia Day Concert will begin just after 7:00pm! The Australia Day Concert will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display! Australia Day in the City is held on the 26 January each year. Elder Park is located on King William Road, next to the Adelaide Festival Centre on the River Torrens. Getting to Australia Day in the City-Parade, Concert & Fireworks is easy on Adelaide Metropolitan public transport.
