The Basilica Cathedral of St. Bartholomew is the main place of worship of Patti, in the province of Messina, the cathedral of the Diocese of Patti, in the vicariate of Patti under the patronage of St. Bartholomew the Apostle, comprising the parishes of Patti, Gioiosa Marea, Librizzi, Montagnareale, Oliveri and San Piero Patti. Santa Febronia virgin and martyr, patron saint of the city of Patti. Deanship of Patti, parish of St. Bartholomew. The church is located next to the bishop's palace and the seminary, the main façade overlooks to the west via the Cathedral and is the largest and oldest of the churches of Patti. Count Roger founded the monastery of the "Holy Savior" and erects the early church and dedicated it to St. Bartholomew.
