On 11th May 1985 Bradford City were presented in the afternoon with the 3rd Division Championship Trophy before commencing their final game of the season against Lincoln City. A fire was visible in the north end of the main stand towards the end of the first half. It progressed at a phenomenal speed causing total destruction and 56 deaths with 265 injured out of the crowd of 11076. Breathtaking horror and sadness.
