BREMERTON, Wash. (Feb. 28, 2012) – Seaman Christian Saastad and Seaman Tyler Hendrix aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) remove an anchor chain lock during a simulated sea and anchor detail. Nimitz is conducting a fast cruise for returning to sea for the first time since the ship’s Docked Planned Incremental Availability. The ship arrived to Bremerton, Wash. to begin its DPIA December 2010.
