Buster Keaton with members of the National Guard, 1928. The American actor and director Buster Keaton (middle) was made a captain of the Oregon National Guard. Next to Keaton stand members of the 160th infantry regiment of the California National Guard, from left to right: Lieutenant Colonel Seth E. Howard, Captain Marvin C. Bradley, Buster Keaton, Colonel Harcourt Hervey, Captain Charles Kastler and Captain Harold E. Hopping. Buster Keaton used members of the Oregon National Guard as extras in his film 'The General' (USA 1927).
