Most Trillium grandiflorum have white flowers that often take on a faint pink blush as they age. However, a form that has pink or ruby-pink flowers even when the blossoms are fresh is found from time to time. This form of the wildflower is abundant in the G. Richard Thompson Wildlife Management Area in northern Virginia.
