More information:

The Crown Fountain is an interactive work of public art and video sculpture name in honor of Chicago’s Crown family. It was designed by a Catalan conceptual artist Jaune Plesna. The work was executed by the the Chicago architectural firm Kruek and Sexton Architects. The fountain is composed of a black granite reflection pool placed between a pair of transparent glass brick towers 50 feet high. Light emitting diodes behind the bricks display digital videos on their inward faces. Depending on weather conditions, the water operates from May to October. The water cascades down the two towers and spout through a nozzle on each towers front face. The videos use different segments in which the lips of the subject are puckered and then timed so that water appears to spout from the subjects mouth through the nozzle.
