Davenport, Iowa, USA. 8th Aug, 2017. Loading docks on the west side of the former Hostess Plant in Davenport on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. The plant was built in 1929 and spent most of its life producing Wonder Bread, cakes and doughnuts. Production ended in 2005 and the facility became a distribution center for a number of years. The property is currently owned by developer Dan Dolan who plans to turn the building into apartments making use of the site's view of the Mississippi River.
