Melitta was founded in 1908 as a family business with its headquarters in Minden and has gained worldwide recognition for its wide range of products concerning the consumption of coffee such as coffee, coffee filters, coffee machines, etc. Around 50 associated companies belong to the Melitta group of companies which employ about 3, 800 employees. The Melitta Haushaltsprodukte Europe, Cofresco Frischhalteprodukte Europe and Melitta Kaffee Europe are three divisions which act independently in the consumer goods business.
