The standard version of the passenger aircraft accommodates up to 555 seats and up to 853 seats on charter aircrafts for long-haul routes. More than 5, 000 guests attended the ceremony. Chancellor Schroeder and his European counterparts from France, Spain and Britain, who attended the ceremony, represented the four European countries which provided a financial jump start of 3, 2 billion euros for the production of the A380.
