RMPTG4H9–1960s, historical, USA, Manhattan, New York, steam rising from a manhole in an underground street drain as a REA delivery truck goes along. Steam rising from beneath the ground is common sight in New York city some of which comes from a network of steam pipes run by Con Edison to heat up water and in the summer months, to power cooling systems.

It was built by Cornish engineers, Harveys, and was then the biggest steam engine ever built.
