ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska – Army Soldiers from the 17th Combat Service Support Battalion on Fort Richardson step off the ramp of a C-17 Globemaster III from the 517th Airlift Squadron at the Donnelly dirt air strip Aug. 24, 2009. The aircraft assisted in deploying 120 Soldiers from Fort Richardson to Donnelly during Arctic Response, an Army Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise. Two C-17s flew to Donnelly and delivered five pallets, two Humvees, a trailer, and a passenger carrier.
