Seen is the Nave, a view from the gallery to the east. The construction of the church began in 1220, and it was consecrated in 1258, with the Chapter House and Cloisters completed in 1266. It was built almost entirely in one architectural style - Early English Gothic. The Cathedral has been part of the autonomous Church of England since 1534.
