Alan Whicker, 56, who this year celebrates 25 years in television and has taken a year off from the screen to write 'Within Whicker's World', a book describing his adventures and his life. Alan has earned the title of TV's most travelled man, having clocked up two-and-a-half million miles of travel across the world, and has picked up numerous awards while on his travels. Whicker lives at Mont d'Olivet, at Trinity, ten miles from Jersey airport.
