Murder investigation launched - Gerrards Cross Thursday 13 October 2016, 5:43pm Thames Valley Police has launched a murder enquiry in Gerrards Cross. At around 5.50pm on Monday (10/10) officers attended a property in High Beeches, following a report that a woman in her thirties had died. An investigation was launched into the circumstances surrounding her death. Today (13/10) a Home Office Post-Mortem examination was carried out, and following this the Force’s Major Crime Unit has now launched a murder investigation. A scene watch is currently in place at the property. Senior investigating officer Det Chief Insp Simon Steel, of the Major Crime Unit, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We have launched a murder investigation and we are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward. “If anyone has information in connection with this incident they should call the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting the reference 1171 10/10/16.” Supt Yvette Hitch, LPA Commander for Chiltern and South Bucks, said: “This is a concerning incident, as a result we have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the public."
