More information:

Nagavali River is one of the main rivers of Orissa It rises in the Eastern Ghats in the Kalahandi district at about 915 meters. The total length of the river is about 256 kilometers and the catchment area of the basin is 9410 sq. km. Hatipathar, near Rayagada, is a place of great scenic beauty with two spectacular much visited waterfalls until 2006 when flash flooding totally destroyed them and diverted the course of the River Nagavali. Dramatic boulders here appear like huge elephants.
