A team of silversmiths have laboured for 12 hrs a day for the last six weeks to clean and re gild the Geoffrey Clark sculpture using 2 kilos of 24 carat gold for the final surface. The cross reinstalled this weekend will is to be unveiled to the public at a special service today.
