Greylag Geese (Anser anser), grazing. Note grazing on sheep grazed pasture side of wire fence and prepared to graze right up to perimeter because they can see immediately beyond for predators. Would not approach such proximity to a solid stone wall. Iona. These geese are a part of the resident west of Scotland breeding population; ie truly wild birds rather than re-introductions as in England.
