Now restored by the Barbados National Trust, Gun Hill Signal Station dates back to probably 1697 when it was one of the principal military ouposts used in the defense of the island in the event of an invasion. It has since been used as a signal station and also as a convalescent station for troops. The view of the countryside from Gun Hill is one of the most magnificent in Barbados.
