Guy Harris fits leg splints before takes a few steps using crutches, at the Mind Clinic, in London. Mr Harris, from Hampshire, was told by doctors he would never walk again when he was left with a spinal cord injury after being hit by a lorry in 2003 which left him paralysed from the waist down. But Mr Harris was determined to recover some feeling in his legs and is now walking with the aid of crutches. See PA story HEALTH Walking. Photo credit should read: Ian Nicholson/PA
