The Nomadic MIR are one of a number of diverse tribal groups around the the Dasada area of Gujarat in India. Their characteristics are vibrantly colourful dress , stunning jewellery including massed arm bangles. These are now made of white plastic and studded withcoloured glass but formerly were made of ivory and dyed in red, with a gold chip, are presented to the bride by her maternal uncle on the occasion of her marriage. The men traditionally herd the longhorn cattle of the area
