Harebell Campanula rotundifolia. Illustration by Clarissa Badger, nee Munger, from "Wild Flowers, Drawn and Colored from Nature, " New York, 1859 Clarissa Munger (1806-1889) was born into an artistic family in East Guilford, Connecticut. Her father George was an engraver and miniaturist, and her sister Caroline painted portraits. Clarissa married the Rev. Milton Badger in 1828, and in 1848 published "Forget Me Not" with original watercolors, believed to be the prototype "Wild Flowers" (1859) with 22 lithographs and "Floral Belles" (1867) with 16 plates.
