One of the reasons is to increase the capacity of the sewage works. A new outfall pipeline is to be built below Dorney Common and the Jubilee River meaning Thames Water will be able to discharge 'treated' effluent and storm water directly into the River Thames. Ground investigations have already started. Thames Water were fined £2.3m earlier this year for discharging sewage into the River Thames in Henley in 2016 killing 1,200 fish. Credit: Maureen Mc
