One of a very large folio of machine drawings as submitted for my PhD in Fine Art at Manchester University. This is a computer programmed drawing where predetermined shapes are chosen randomly by the programme and randomly placed on a grid system. The colour, chosen along constructivist lines, is added by Photoshop. The inspiration for this drawing is from Kandinsky's work. All Taitographs, as they are termed, are subject to programme control by a variety of specially designed sequential analogue programmers. To the best of my knowledge I have designed and built more analogue drawing machines than anyone else having reached twenty five different machines and with work still in progress. The wide variety of images are not only widely exhibited but could provide graphic designers with a range of motifs.
