Horizontal wide angle view of London's Air Ambulance landed at Horse Guards Parade in order to attend an incident on a sunny day. London's Air Ambulance, aka the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), responds to seriously ill or injured casualties in and around the London area. Formed in 1989, the service is unique in the UK in that the helicopter carries a doctor trained in emergency medicine in addition to a paramedic at all times. The current helicopter used is a McDonnell Douglas MD 902 Explorer, registration G-EHMS.
