Ian Simpson and a cat called Coco outside the property in Barnes, south west London, for which the Cats Protection League are seeking an order at Wandsworth County Court, to evict him and three other cats. He claims he is staying in the 1 million Victorian mansion to stop the rehousing of the cats, and the sale of the house which used to be owned by the late Lady Follett, the widow of one-time Science Museum director Sir David Follett. The charity says that he has moved in without permission and that Lady Follett's wish to further cat welfare in this country will be best served by selling the house.
