Information board at Silbury Hill, Avebury, Wiltshire. Silbury Hill is the largest man-made mound in Europe and probably dates to roughly 2400 BC. It contains no known burials and its purpose and significance are unknown. The mound is part of the Avebury World Heritage Site, and a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
