RM2RN18Y3–Japan: Midnight - Mother and Sleepy Child. Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Kitagawa Utamaro (c. 1753 - 31 October 1806), 1790. Kitagawa Utamaro was a Japanese printmaker and painter, who is considered one of the greatest artists of woodblock prints (ukiyo-e). He is known especially for his masterfully composed studies of women, known as bijinga. He also produced nature studies, particularly illustrated books of insects.

RFKER3JA–The caption for this print reads—Kiyomasu: Theatrical trio (print in hoso-ye form). This art form of theatrical prints had its origin in the large posters displayed outside the theaters as advertisements of the play. Torii Kiyomasi was a Japanese painter and printmaker of the school known as Torii. The style of painting was ukiyo-e. Kiyomasi is believed to have been active in early 1700s. Ukiyo-e is Japanese for 'picture[ or pictures] of the floating world.'

Suijin Shrine and Massaki on the Sumida River is number 35 of the 118 woodblock prints constituting Hiroshige's series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo.
