The Kasubi Tombs on Kasubi Hill (Nabulagala, Kyaddondo) in Kampala, Uganda was built in 1882 and converted to royal burial grounds in 1884, there are four former kings (Kabakas) of the Buganda Kingdom buried here: Muteesa I, Mwanga II, Chwa II and Muteesa II. It is a major spiritual centre for the Baganda people and is on UNESCO's World Heritage List On the night of the 16th of March 2010 the tombs were burnt to the ground, the reason is not clear.
