Family members, British military personnel, and the British high commissioner pay their last respect during the burial of eight RAF crew members at the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Kuala Lumpur. The eight crew members were flying a B-24 Liberator on August 23, 1945, eight days after Japan surrendered in World War II, when the plane crashed and was lost near Kuala Pilah, Malaysia.

The crash site was undiscovered until the 1990s and human remains were found in 2009 after a detailed investigation.
