La Paz, Bolivia, 27th September 2015. Partial eclipse of the full moon above the cross of the Maria Auxiliadora church in La Paz. September's full moon is also the closest supermoon of 2015, and the first full moon of spring in the southern hemisphere. This September's full moon is also called a Blood Moon because it presents the fourth and final eclipse of a lunar tetrad: four straight total eclipses of the moon, spaced at six lunar months (full moons) apart.
