The former Sheffield Eagles player and father-of-one was shot in the head at the Wilson's Arms, in Seacroft. Police investigating the murders of the former professional rugby league player and his life long friend, Joseph Montgomery, 39, - who died in the same incident - have arrested six people. A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman today said two men aged 40, one from Middlesbrough, the other from Blackpool, had been arrested. A 38-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman from Normanton, a 39-year-old woman from Ferry Fryston and a 30-year-old woman from Leeds, all West Yorkshire, were also arrested and were being questioned. 15/04/02: Leeds Crown Court has heard how Wilson was standing at the bar of the Wilson's Arms in Seacroft, Leeds, when a masked gunman burst in and shot him in the head. As the attacker fled the pub, another man Joseph Montgomery, 39, threw a beer glass at him but was fired upon and was also fatally wounded. Paul Bryan, 41, of Bierstow Street, Blackpool, denies the murder of Mr Nelson, the murder of Mr Montgomery and the attempted murder of David's brother, Andrew.
