On Monday 10 September 2012, up to 800 athletes from "Our Greatest Team", a combination of Team GB and ParalympicsGB, took part in a parade through central London to celebrate with the public their achievements at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The parade consisted of more than 21 floats, arranged by sport, each carrying around 40 athletes. Medal winners were included across the whole parade. More than one million spectators lined the route from Mansion House in the City of London to Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace to celebrate as the athletes passed by.
