Construction workers continue to build the Crossrail underground line in the Stepney Green tunnel in London, UK. The Elizabeth Line, named after the current Queen, is part of the Crossrail project and will run through central London from Reading and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the East. Construction began on the £14.8billion Crossrail infrastructure programme in 2009 and is expected to be delivered on time and on budget, opening in December 2018.
