London, UK. 20th November, 2015. War Damaged Musical Instruments a work by British artist Susan Philipsz (Pictured) in the Duveen Galleries at the Tate Britain. This is one of her most ambitious works to date, specially commissioned by 14-18 NOW. The sound work uses recordings of “The Last Post” on a range of brass and woodwind instruments damaged in various conflicts and is played out using an arrangement of 14 speakers.
