London, UK. 20th October 2015. Gift of Life organ donor awareness demonstration at Oxford Circus, London. London commuters were given pause to think as "patients" looking for an organ donor hit the rush hour at Oxford Circus. The 21 people dressed in surgical gowns represent the number of people each week (3 every day) who die in need of a transplant. The hard hitting initiative was commissioned by Channel 5 to raise awareness of the urgent need for more people to join the Organ Donor Register and marks the launch of Channel 5's new series "The Gift of Life".
