The Urban Rain Garden (designed by Rhiannon Williams), one of the six beautiful and elegant Gardens for a Changing World on display at the 2017 RHS Hampton Court Flower Show which opened today, London, UK. Gardens for a Changing World is a new category which highlights the more sustainable direction that gardening is now taking worldwide, empowering and encouraging gardeners to meet the challenges they are faced with in our ever changing climate. The RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the world’s largest flower show boasting an eclectic mix of gardens, displays and shopping opportunities spanning over 34 acres either side of the dramatic long water with the stunning façade of the historical palace in the background. Around 130, 000 people attend the show each year. The show was first held in 1990 and created by Historic Royal Palaces and Network Southeast. For the first Hampton Court Palace Shows, Network Southeast laid on special trains from Waterloo, and the railway porters all wore carnations in their hats.
