May 10, 2010 - Datu Piang, Mindanao, Philippines - Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Philippines patrolling in township of Datu Salibu amid raising election violence in Maguindanao restive province of Philippines..Two rocked propelled grenades were fired nearby the polling station in Datu Piang by unconfirmed assailants prompting exchange of gun fire between Armed Forces of Philippines and the assailants while voters and residents of the area have been evacuated Disrupting continuation of voting in ten precincts leaving a third of voters to not cast votes. Ten polling stations and automated polling machines have been transferred to the Municipal council building.This is the first automated election in the Philippines.
