Members of the Protestant Orange Order marching through Edinburgh to show support for a No vote in the forthcoming referendum on Scottish independence. It was the first such large-scale demonstration of support by the Orange Order for a vote to keep Scotland within the United Kingdom. On the 18th of September 2014, the people of Scotland voted in a referendum to decide whether the country's union with England should continue or Scotland should become an independent nation once again and leave the United Kingdom.
