Middlesbrough, UK. 20th July, 2014. The annual Nagar Kirtan Parade celebrating Sikh culture in the North-east of England took place in Middlesbrough Cleveland UK today Sunday 20 July. The parade is led by five saffron robed men leading a float which carries the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh Holy Scripture. Members of the procession are barefoot in deference to the scripture so displayed. They are preceded by sweepers cleaning the road.
