The picket indicates that 94 Type-72 AP mines (minimal metal) were found by landmine clearance charity MAG at this spot. They had been put there by shepherds who had collected them and put them in what they thought was a safe place, covering them with soil. "Each time they found a mine they'd move it, put it in a hole and cover it with earth, " said Bakir Ali, Field Operations Manager for MAG Iraq's Chamchamal sector.
